Here is why.
There are three important "end of quarter" fundraising deadlines in an election year: March, June, and September. After each of those months, campaigns need to report how much money they've raised.
These "EOQ" fundraising numbers are one of the first metrics to indicate which campaigns have momentum and grassroots support – and therefore can win. Reporters extensively cover these numbers, and high dollar donors pay attention to them to see where they should be giving. These fundraising reports can sway an election.
And for the first time this election year, Trump is out-raising President Biden and Democrats.
We cannot let Donald Trump outraise us this quarter and take the momentum in the race. To stop him, we're setting a mid-month goal of $5,000 by tomorrow (Saturday) night.

We know Donald Trump is gaining ground – polls are showing it, and now his fundraising numbers are showing it.
We will not always have time to stop Donald Trump. Eight years ago, we didn't act early enough, and he won the election.
But right now, we have a chance to show that he can be stopped. We have a chance to stand strong against Republican extremism and show that we are firmly against a second Trump presidency.
