John, our pro-peace ceasefire movement isn’t the only thing on the line in this year’s critical elections. So is the Green New Deal:

Here’s the situation: Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez introduced the Green New Deal so the U.S. would take the bold, urgent action needed to address the climate crisis. Fellow Justice Democrats Jamaal Bowman and Cori Bush are two of the Green New Deal’s earliest and biggest supporters, who rallied the support needed to see some of its critical points come to light through the 2021 Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act. Jamaal has since introduced the Green New Deal for Public Schools, while Cori is leading the Green New Deal for Cities.

Here’s the problem: Our Green New Deal champions are facing massive primary challenges from less progressive candidates who don’t support the Green New Deal. AIPAC is fueling the fight, and they’re dropping tens of billions of dollars from right-wing donors to set our movement back.

Here’s our solution: We must re-elect ALL members of our progressive bloc to achieve the Green New Deal, Medicare For All, and many other progressive cornerstone policies. We can’t afford to lose some of the boldest and most outspoken progressives in Congress at a critical time like this.
