"Like talking to your drunk uncle": Trump shit talks "horrible" RNC host city Milwaukee in closed-door rant to House Republicans at US Capitol
Returning to the scene of the crime for the first time since his failed insurrection, convicted felon and MAGA cult leader Donald Trump met with congressional Republicans at the US Capitol and delivered a rambling, behind-closed-doors, stream-of-consciousness rant that left his own allies scrambling and perplexed. One source said it was "like talking to your drunk uncle at the family reunion." The disgraced ex-president tried to settle scores in the House GOP, trashed the RNC host city of Milwaukee, and took a weird shot at Nancy Pelosi’s "wacko" daughter. At one point, Trump turned his attention to House Majority Leader Steve Scalise and recounted a visit to the hospital in 2017 where the Louisiana Republican was recovering from gunshot wounds sustained during a congressional softball game. In perhaps the most telling moment of the day, Trump offered up this loaded nugget that surely in no way has anything to do with Melania: "I can tell your wife really loves you, Steve, because some wives wouldn't care."

Supreme Court unanimously rejects bid to restrict access to abortion pill
In a rare win for reason and a blow for anti-abortion zealots, the Supreme Court on Thursday rejected a challenge to the abortion pill mifepristone, meaning the commonly used drug can remain widely available. The court found unanimously that the group of anti-abortion doctors who questioned the Food and Drug Administration’s decisions making it easier to access the pill did not have legal standing to sue. President Biden said in a statement that while the ruling means the pill can remain easily accessible, "the fight for reproductive freedom continues." Biden continued, "It does not change the fact that the right for a woman to get the treatment she needs is imperiled if not impossible in many states." It's important to recognize this ruling is less about protecting the abortion pill and much more about just how AWFUL a legal case these bozos put together. This case has been remanded to a lower court, where Trump extremist Judge Kacsmaryk has granted Idaho, Kansas, and Missouri permission to intervene in the case. They won't stop trying to ban every aspect of abortion care until we protect it at the federal level.

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. scrambled to refile his petition to be included on the Nevada ballot because, well, typing is hard. In an email to state officials, campaign attorney Paul Rossi submitted the revised petition because "we do not want ballot access to be rejected because of an typo" [sic]. The original petition said Kennedy and attorney Nicole Shanahan were running for president and vice president of the "Unites States." Just a thought: why don't we just let Robert run for president of the "Unites States" while we hold our real election? He gets to pretend to be a serious candidate and we get to keep working on actually saving American democracy without his obnoxious distractions.
