TAKE BACK THE FLAG and FLY IT PROUDLY

I am the US flag; the flag that you saw when you recited the pledge of allegiance as a child. The 50 stars stand for the 50 states of the union, and the 13 stripes stand for the original 13 states. The flag that represents freedom, democracy, patriotism, progress, liberty, and justice for all.

When you honor me, you honor these ideals, even while recognizing that we sometimes fall short of them. We learn from our mistakes to build a brighter future.

I am your flag and the flag of all Americans. Many patriots and soldiers have died trying to preserve and defend the ideals I represent. These brave people, from all walks of life and backgrounds, served and died as Americans.

Fly me above all polling places where all American citizens can access their right to vote.

This summer, please fly me proudly as a reminder to all of the aspirations and values for which we strive.

Call to Action

Take a photo of your Red, White, and Blue, post it on social media, tag @jointheunionus, and use the hashtag #TakeBackTheFlag or send it to [email protected]. Include a caption stating what the flag means to you and mention your state.
