** Chair's Corner
------------------------------------------------------------
I hope this letter finds you well. As the Chair of this great organization, I am happy to share with you the incredible progress and numerous accomplishments we have achieved since September 9th. Our collective efforts have been instrumental in driving our goals and vision forward, and I am confident that together, we can achieve even greater success in the future.
Here are some of the key accomplishments and ongoing initiatives that highlight our commitment to our values and goals:
1. New Ticketing System: We have implemented a new ticketing system with no charges for non-profits, 3 counties nowas well as the State are using it for all events. We are continuing to work to get all counties and the State on board for better record keeping, ease of use, and money saving features.
2. Financial Stability: The lien on our building has been removed, and we have caught up on our taxes, and we have sold the building at a higher price than it was appraised for. Mahalo to our agents for doing a great job. Thank you to the following for helping pack up, move and clean out the Kapiolani Building:Brett Kulbis, Sheryl Bieler, Michael Jauch, Martin Choy, and new National Committeeman Nolan Chang. If it wasn't for them helping, we would have run into complications for not being moved out on time. This was an amazing display of unity and teamwork.
3. Budget Management: Our budget has been submitted twice and approved per our bylaws. Now with expenses changing direction a new budget will be submitted for review, and we have a Financial Advisor on board to help ensure we invest and manage the funds appropriately without running into legal issues. We will be working with an attorney as well to draw up legal plans for long term financial security.
4. Convention Planning: We held a great convention and accomplished some great things, as well as raised money from the fundraising efforts outside of the convention plans. Even through the challenges we face, we came together for two days and we did have some great moments of unity.
5. Events and Engagements:
* Kuhio dinner and videos from Lara Trump and Mike Whatley.
* Rules and platform committees worked hard for great presentations to the convention
* Project 2023 fundraiser and Revive and Thrive initiatives.
* Masks of Freedom event with videos from Kari Lake, Steve Stern, and Dr. Ward.
* Red and White Christmas event featuring videos from Rona McDaniels and Drew McKisseck.
* Fundraising breakfast, cocktail party, and vendor engagements at convention
* Active participation in Maui Christmas Party and Big Island Thanksgiving by the State Chair.
1. GROW Program: Completion of the 1st level with a $5000 award and the 2nd level with a $15,000 award, and hopes to accomplish level 3
2. Membership and Fundraising: Development of a membership card program in the works
3. Town Halls: Organizing and scheduling of town halls with district and county submissions, Big Island East and West as well as Maui, have been active in organizing town halls. Check out Maui every Friday, as well as June 17th West Hawaii, June 23 East Hawaii Town Hall
4. Avoiding Penalties: Prevented HRP from being fined.
5. Communication: Weekly scheduled newsletters, a new website, and social media account recoveries, and new social media account to be up soon on Tik tok
6. Operational Efficiency: Reformatted donation forms, connected Zeffy to donation forms, and adjusted unnecessary expenses.
7. Building and Maintenance: Prompt responses to flooding issues, completed escrow to sell building,
8. Financial Review: For the first time in many years a financial review was completed, and it is determined that an audit should occur.
9. Legal Matters: Meeting with attorneys, dismissing lawsuits
10. Community Engagement: Participation in rotary, chamber, and RNC meetings, as well as media coverage for caucus and speaking engagements.
11. Fundraising Events: Planning stages for a golf tournament, bowling tournament, and a possible Patriot event with a Trump rally.
12. Grassroots Initiatives: Focus on grassroots efforts, town halls, recruiting, and the Numinar contract to assist candidates which was signed today after defining negotiations.
There is so much more that we have done with new forms, processes, cleaning up items, etc. and it is appreciated of all that have contributed to the path of change that is so needed for the Hawaii Republican party. For too long this party has been overshadowed by doubt, internal discord, and distractions. It's time that we move forward.
This journey has been marked by significant milestones and unwavering dedication, a lot that has been behind the scenes. We are on the cusp of transformative change, and it is imperative that we continue to support our candidates and work tirelessly to get President Donald Trump elected.
As we look to the future, I urge each precinct, district, and county to start town halls, recruit at least two new members a month, and secure at least two $50 monthly contributions per person holding a position. Our grassroots focus will be pivotal in driving our success.
Mahalo for your continued support and dedication. Together, we can achieve remarkable things and bring about the change we need. Let us stay united, motivated, and focused on our shared goals.
Aloha,
Together, we can make a difference and ensure a brighter future for Hawaii and our nation.
