John,
Our first Sunday Social with U.S. Senator Tammy Baldwin and state Representative Brian Sims was a huge success – hope you were able to join us live! We’re celebrating even more LGBTQ powerhouses this Sunday. While we can’t gather in person to celebrate our work, Victory Fund is committed to bringing you face-to-face – or rather, screen-to-screen - with our historic candidates and elected officials as they navigate our current political climate. This week, Mayor Lightfoot and Representative Herod are joining us for a deep dive into their dedicated work. Rep. Herod is shining a light on the racial disparities exacerbated and created by the pandemic, and U.S. Senators and Congresspeople are looking to her and championing her policies. And in Chicago, Mayor Lightfoot is the face (and the meme!) of social distancing, practical governing and keeping constituents safe.
Mayor Lightfoot and Representative Herod will both have an update on their work and take questions from the audience ( if you’d like to submit a question beforehand, you can do so here [[link removed]] ). And the call might just include a surprise or two!
And while this is a free event and open to all, please consider a contribution by purchasing a virtual ticket to the Social Sunday event. We truly do need your help more than ever. [[link removed]]
See you Sunday,
