Our State and Local team just let me know that we're $8,758 shy of reaching our $75,000 Frontline Defenders Fund goal with just hours to go before our midnight deadline. And if I know one thing for sure, it's that that's not an impossible gap for this team to overcome. So here's the deal:
Abortion access is being decided in state legislatures across the country. If anti-choice Republicans gain control of state governments, they will continue to pass draconian abortion bans. We've already seen it happen in 21 states since the overturning of Roe v. Wade two years ago. EMILYs List is fighting back HARD by strategically supporting Democratic pro-choice women in state legislatures where we can make an outsized difference in abortion access and reproductive freedom.
