Checking in to see if you got my last message.

Hi John, just checking in to see if you got my last message.

It’s almost been seven years since I decided to take a stand against right-wing extremists like Donald Trump by starting Run for Something. Since then, we’ve built the biggest community of young progressive candidates and made a real impact in local communities across the country.

And if you want to see our political landscape change for the better too, we’re giving you a chance to stand up and make a difference. We’ve set a fundraising goal of $7,000 so that we can continue to recruit and elect more diverse, young progressives to public office.

So, what do you say? Will you donate now in honor of our seven-year anniversary so that we can keep on electing more diverse, young progressives up and down the ballot?

Thank you,

Amanda Litman

Hi John,

I'll never forget how angry I was on Nov. 9, 2016.

It was the morning after Donald Trump was elected president. I was sick to my stomach and knew millions of Americans felt the same way.

But then, I thought: Stop fucking complaining and do something. So I did something.

On Inauguration Day 2017, Ross Morales Rocketto and I started Run for Something to transform the political landscape – to empower young, diverse progressives to run for local elected office, win and lead. To build the biggest pipeline in progressive politics to counter and defeat right-wing extremism in every corner of the country.

Over the past seven years, we’ve endorsed over 3,500 incredible young, diverse and progressive leaders for city council, school board, state legislature and more. Over a thousand of those leaders have won and gone on to create real change in their communities.

That’s the power of Run for Something: By supporting young, diverse, progressive leaders who are passionate about shaping a better future, we can make better policies for communities right away and build the next generation of progressive, Democratic leadership.

As we strive to elect even more young, diverse progressives for another seven years and more – I’m asking our supporters (you, John) to help us raise $7,000 in grassroots donations.

Please, donate $7 or whatever you can to help us propel the next generation of leaders to office. Help us raise $7,000 to elect more young, diverse progressives up and down the ballot!

Thank you,

Amanda Litman
