"I'm Governor Gavin Newsom, and I'm asking for your input"

Hi team – it’s Gavin Newsom, Governor of California.

Across the country, Democrats are combating far-right attacks from every direction: the courts, the GOP-controlled Congress, and extreme conservative-majority state legislatures.

But in order to continue fighting back, we need help from folks on the ground. So the DGA and I created our brand new Democratic Defense Survey – to hear straight from grassroots supporters like you. If you already know why your input today is crucial to our success in November, then please begin the survey now. We need 25,000 grassroots supporters to share their input before our midnight deadline.

I’ve been so proud to watch the progress that President Biden has delivered over his first term. From protecting voting and fighting for reproductive rights and to keep everyone’s kids safer from gun violence, our president and his partners in the states – Democratic governors like myself – are consistently putting the American people first.

But this November, all our progress is at stake.

MAGA Republicans want to undermine and unravel it piece by piece. They’ve silenced speech and made it harder to cast a ballot. They’ve signed dangerous abortion bans into law and want to go after contraception next. They’ve even made democracy a partisan issue. This is the “future” the GOP is fighting for. Abortion rights. Civil rights. Voting rights. They want it all wiped away.

And to top it all off, they’re nominating a guy – Trump – who is a convicted felon, lost an election, and tried to wreck the country over it.

But I believe in the power of our grassroots team to stand united against them. That’s where you come in. Right now, the DGA needs feedback from Democratic voters. Responses from reliable supporters like you help our team better understand your top concerns at this critical moment, and in turn, help us stop Republicans and secure victory for President Biden and Democratic governors this November.
