On Tuesday, I officially qualified for the 2024 municipal election.
It was an honor to be joined by my Campaign Chair Russ McDonald, my longtime friend former Madison County Chairman Mike Gillespie, and my son Drew and his wife Lauren. But the delight of the day was the presence of my grandsons, George and Benjamin.

George and Benjamin motivate me to keep an eye on the big picture and make decisions that set us up for success. They inspire me with their quick minds and questions. They, along with the thousands of children throughout our city, serve as a daily reminder of why we do what we do.

Since I was reelected in 2020, Huntsville has been ranked on more than 60 lists. Best Place to Live, #1 Tech Market, Best Place to Raise a Family, Most Affordable Place to Live, Top Job Market in the U.S, and many more. In just four years we've become a top city in the nation. These rankings make our children want to move home to raise the next generation here. That is one of the reasons I love my job, and will continue working for you.

I will be on the ballot on August 27, 2024 and ask for your vote. I've kept my promises, and I'm not finished yet - let's keep working, together.
