The Washington Post reported that May was the 12th month in a row that global temperatures reached record-setting highs. A full year of smashed records.

We have a responsibility to leave our children and grandchildren a safe, livable planet. We know how to do it. But the window of time to act on the problem is shrinking. Of course, we have Republican obstruction to thank for that. The GOP – bankrolled by Big Oil – tries to blockade every planet-saving climate measure Democrats bring to the table.

And it doesn’t help that the captured Supreme Court is eager to side with Big Oil. The same fossil fuel industry donors that prop up the Republican Party were major players in the scheme to capture the Supreme Court. It's very possible the Court is readying to block President Biden's plan to protect downwind states like Rhode Island from dangerous air pollution.

As long as Republicans continue this obstruction and the Court that Dark Money Built keeps handing down decisions that please the pro-pollution billionaires who helped get them on the Court in the first place, we won’t be able to stop the planet from baking to the point of no return.
