Hey, it’s Scott — Tammy’s campaign manager. We have a gap in our campaign budget that we need to make up before June 30th, and here’s why:

The end of the month marks our second end-of-quarter fundraising deadline of the year. After we close the books, we’ll report how much we’ve raised and how much we’ve spent over the last three months to the Federal Election Commission — and shortly after, those numbers will be made public.

If we report that we spent more than we raised in the past three months, that’ll be seen as a major sign of weakness by our Republican opponent and his allies. Once the alarm bells go off, Wisconsin will be inundated with even more attack ads against Tammy than the many we’re already facing today.

I don’t want to have to make difficult decisions about our budget or pull back on campaign advertising, so I’m turning to you today:
