John,
As a federal prosecutor, my job was to help take down the bad guys.
I prosecuted white-collar criminals who defrauded seniors. I put away shady doctors who sold opiates illegally. I also helped shut down a smuggling operation that sent American-made microchips to China.
Truth be told, I loved my old job. But, when I introduce myself as a former federal prosecutor, the question I typically get in response is:
“Am I in trouble?”
My answer is always the same:
“No, but we’re all in trouble if we don’t flip this seat and Ken Calvert goes back to Washington. Can I count on your vote?”
Jokes aside, I’m running because I’ve seen the threats to our country change as America has become more divided due to hyper-partisanship and misinformation. It’s time we start agreeing on the basic facts again, but it will take thoughtful legislation to tackle this problem at its roots.
My race is shaping up to be one of the most competitive House races in the country. With our second quarter FEC deadline less than three weeks away, it’s critical to stay on track with our fundraising goals to fund our voter contact efforts. If you have the means -- please chip in a donation of $3 today.
If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately:
I’m under no illusion that change will be easy, but I do know that it’s much more likely when we all work together.
And if our shared contribution to change is replacing an extremist like Ken Calvert with someone who is willing to actually move our country forward -- I’d chalk that up as a *huge* win for our community, and America.
So thanks in advance for your support.
Will Rollins
