I just officially kicked off my re-election campaign here in CO-07.

I am so grateful to everyone who has helped us get to this point, and that includes you. When you spend time with this incredible grassroots team, it’s impossible not to feel optimistic about the future, despite all the very real challenges we face.

I’m also mindful every single day of just how high the stakes are. This next election is about protecting our democracy. It’s about reinstating abortion rights in all 50 states. It’s about defeating the MAGA attacks on our fundamental freedoms and getting things done for regular American families who need more help than they’re getting.

When I was growing up, our family hit hard times. And I wouldn’t be where I am today if we hadn't had access to amazing schools, great teachers, and community investments that leveled the playing field for somebody like me.

That’s why I’ve dedicated my life to fighting for policies that will invest in our communities, invest in the future of our kids, and invest in providing a lifeline to families who are struggling under the weight of so many different kinds of challenges — like my family when I was a kid in Jeffco.

Frankly, it’s why I’m a Democrat. And now, we’re facing an unprecedented election with enormous stakes.

I’m in this fight to make real, lasting change for the people of Colorado. And despite the dysfunctional, right-wing majority that currently controls the House, I’m proud of the progress we’ve been able to make.

I’ve secured critical federal funding to increase clean water access in our communities, expand access to affordable housing, and improve quality of life throughout our district.

I’ve put forward bipartisan bills to confront our nation’s opioid epidemic — an issue that, as you probably know, is deeply personal to me and my family.

I’ve worked to fight back against threats to our democracy from every possible angle — whether they come from MAGA extremists, Putin and his cronies, or the growing problem of AI-fueled deepfakes.

And every single day, I’ve brought the concerns of regular Americans to the halls of Congress — hardworking families whose struggles are too often drowned out by the demands of special interests and corporations.
