Hey John
I emailed you a few days ago about something cool we're doing for
ANZAC Day - the
Poppy Pledge. Have you heard about it?
COVID-19's social distancing rules means ANZAC Day Dawn Services
are cancelled. But a few veterans and their families had an idea of
what to do instead.
To have everyone stand at the end of their driveway, at 6am on
ANZAC Day, and observe a minute's silence.
Don't you reckon that's a great idea? I've
set up a website to help give them a boost.
We're asking people to take the ‘Poppy Pledge’ - a promise that you
will stand at your driveway on ANZAC Day and honour those who fought
for us.
Over 8,000 people have taken the Pledge already, and it's
growing by thousands a day. Can
you take it too?
Just head to the website, sign your
name, and let me know if you have any issues or feedback on the
website.
You can find the website here:
www.poppypledge.com.au
When you're done, you can share it
with the links below:
Cheers,
Jacqui
PS: Oh, and if you're on
Facebook, here's
a video of me having a chat with one of the people behind this
idea.
