If you’re just catching up, here’s a quick recap of the case:
Mifepristone is one of two drugs used in medical abortions, as well as the treatment of miscarriages and other reproductive conditions.
Anti-abortion extremists brought this case on their belief that allowing regular Americans to obtain this medication through the mail – to use privately at home – somehow infringed on doctors’ personal religious beliefs.
Today the Supreme Court unanimously rejected this argument.
This is a win for reproductive freedom, but our fight is NOT over. The court’s conservative justices rejected the case on a technicality. This ruling is a signal to the extremists against reproductive freedom to come back and try again with a better case.
My opponent Lauren Boebert is fighting for a federal ban on abortion. I’m fighting for a federal law to protect the right to abortion, contraception, and reproductive care.
I’m the only candidate in this race polling 14 points ahead of Boebert, and Democrats’ BEST chance of flipping this seat. Can I count on you to join the fight?
