The U.S. Supreme Court just ruled against banning mifepristone, a drug used for medically-induced abortions. This ruling does what it should do – protect patients seeking reproductive care from partisan laws meant to punish them for it.

This is an important win, but our fight is far from over: the real issue here is that the Court should not be litigating women’s access to healthcare in any way.

Now, with Congress failing to take action and Donald Trump on the ballot again threatening to let states monitor women’s pregnancies and prosecute those who have abortions, it’s critical that we STOP this invasive Handmaid’s Tale B.S. by passing laws in EVERY state that protect, not undermine, reproductive freedom. It’s up to us in the states to get this done: will you chip in $7 to the DLGA today to help us kick out anti-choice politicians and elect state-level leaders who will champion reproductive rights?

We’ve seen how state governments make all the difference. If we are going to fight back against future efforts to ban abortion, we need to do nationwide what my state of Minnesota did: elect Democrats up and down the ballot to block the extreme right’s attacks.

The DLGA is the newest Democratic Party committee, and we’re full of young, diverse, public servants who don’t just say we’re pro-choice: we act on it.

But because we’re the new kids on the block, we don’t have the same institutional support — we rely on grassroots donors like you to help us kick out anti-choice Republicans and elect pro-choice candidates! This year’s election will be critical to our future. Can I count on you to chip in $7 or more to help us support Democratic candidates for Lt. Governor in North Carolina, Indiana, Delaware, Vermont, Utah, Montana, North Dakota, and Washington?
