NARAL Pro-Choice America recently changed its name to Reproductive Freedom for All [[link removed]] . Our name may be new, but our mission of protecting and expanding reproductive freedom remains the same.

John—We wanted to make sure you heard that the Supreme Court has done the bare minimum and ruled not to restrict mifepristone .

As a reminder, mifepristone is an incredibly safe medication that's used in medication abortion and miscarriage management.

While this is a relief, this fight is far from over . Brett Kavanaugh said as much, stating that other anti-abortion plaintiffs could have standing in the future—leaving the door open to future challenges. Anti-abortion extremists worked for decades to overturn Roe —and they will keep chipping away at medication abortion and every single one of our other fundamental freedoms unless we stop them.

So we can't let up for even a second. We have to fight hard in this year's election to keep anti-abortion extremists out of office and away from appointing even more conservative justices and judges—and elect reproductive freedom champions who will protect our fundamental rights.

To be clear, this baseless case should have never gotten this far. Mifepristone has been approved by the FDA for decades and has a safety record of over 99% (making it safer than Tylenol!). Anti-abortion extremists specifically picked Matthew Kacsmaryk—a Trump-appointed judge whose nomination we opposed and who has issued many anti-immigrant, anti-LGBTQ, and anti-contraception opinions—to hear this case at the outset in Texas. Two of the key studies Kacsmaryk cited in his ruling to severely restrict mifepristone have since been retracted because of unreliable findings.

John, let's take a second to celebrate that the Supreme Court did the bare minimum in not restricting access to a safe and effective medication. And then let's get ready to fight like hell to keep anti-abortion extremists from eroding our rights any further—starting with beating them at the ballot box in November.
