Hi there,

We want to draw your attention to Nebraska – where, last year, a legislature made up of 71% men passed an abortion ban.

We don’t believe men should be the ones making laws about women’s bodies – that’s why we are proud to announce our endorsements of pro-choice women who need our help as they run for winnable seats in Nebraska. Will you help us fight for abortion protections in Nebraska by chipping in $20.24 or more today?

✅ Carol Blood is running for Congressional District 1 in Nebraska. Carol has served as an elected official over the last 16 years on both the City Council and the Nebraska Legislature. She has been an active volunteer and advocate for women since 1992.

Carol’s opponent deeply supports a complete and total ban on abortion. In fact, during his first term in the Nebraska Legislature, he introduced and successfully passed the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act, the nation's first abortion ban, nearly a decade ago. Meanwhile, Carol believes that safe and accessible reproductive healthcare is a basic right that is supported by science, medicine, and respect for human dignity.

✅ Maggie Douglas is running for election to the Nebraska State Board of Education. Maggie is committed to ensuring education is equitable and accessible for all students, promoting policies that boost teacher retention, encouraging parent engagement, and keeping schools safe. She firmly believes that every student should have the resources they need to learn and succeed, no matter where they come from or their life situation. As an educator, Maggie’s experience will guide her in making the best decisions for her constituents and the students of Nebraska.

Book bans and transhuman rights are currently the top issues in this district. Maggie is against book bans and has been vocal about keeping book decisions at the local level. Her opponent has ties to Moms for Liberty and the backing of their state's Republican party.

✅ Mary Ann Folchert is running for Nebraska State Legislature, District 31. Mary Ann believes that every woman deserves access to comprehensive reproductive healthcare, including abortion. As she stated in our endorsement interview, “Healthcare decisions should be patient-centered and based on scientific and medical understanding, not the religious or moral preferences of lawmakers.”

Meanwhile, she is challenging the current Senator, Kathleen Kauth, a partisan Republican politician who helped craft a bill that restricted access to abortion after 9 weeks as well as access to gender-affirming care for minors.

For the 900,000+ women who live in Nebraska, it is critical that we elect fiercely pro-choice candidates who will fight for their rights up and down the ballot. And here’s the thing: All of these seats are winnable. Due to redistricting, these once-red seats have become purple.

We must do everything in our power to ensure our Nebraska candidates are not left behind and have the support they need to win. Will you rush $20.24 or more today to help us provide support to our Nebraska candidates?
