Team,

The Supreme Court just released its decision in the FDA v. Alliance for Hippocratic Medicine case, ruling to uphold the availability of Mifepristone, the abortion pill.

Today's decision is a welcomed victory for the majority of Americans who believe that a woman should have the right to make her own healthcare decisions, including the right to abortion care.

Team, I want to make one thing clear: No one's health care should hinge on the decisions of the Supreme Court – or any politician. And while we've won this round, the fight to protect bodily autonomy is far from over.

The court's ruling emphasizes the urgent need for permanent protections for women's reproductive freedom and health. Right now extreme legislators both in Congress and nationwide are making it crystal clear they won't stop at trying to limit or ban abortion care.

Now they're coming after birth control and even fertility treatments like IVF which could have devastating consequences for millions of American women and their families. Look, we simply cannot allow far-right judges or politicians to turn back the clock on women's rights.

We need to take this critical issue out of the hands of extremists and codify the right to safe and legal abortion care into law. If you're with me in the fight to secure a pro-choice majority in the House this November, please chip in $5 or whatever you can today. »  [link removed]

While the road ahead won't be without its challenges, I will always be proud to stand with the majority of Americans and Granite Staters who believe reproductive health care is a fundamental right and should be a personal choice left between a woman and her doctor.

In solidarity,

Chris
