This June, we're excited to kick off Pride Season with you and share our 2024 Pride campaign, resources and initiatives.

Three individuals, a hockey player, guitarist and dancer, stand side by side with the words TRANS in white on a black and dark-green background.

See the person. Not the label.

No matter which province or territory we live in, no matter which city, town, or village – we all want to belong in a Canada where every person feels accepted and safe.

But a rising tide of anti-2SLGBTQI hate is threatening the safety, freedoms, and rights of 2SLGBTQI people across the country. This unacceptable hate and vitriol is particularly targeting trans and gender diverse communities. The hate fuelled by misinformation and disinformation continues to grow, as only one in three (33%) of Canadians know someone who is trans, and only 6% have a close relationship with at least one trans person.

This Pride Season, we are encouraging everyone to take a stand against hate, and to help others to see the person. Not the label.
