Here’s the bottom line: If Donald Trump wins Minnesota in November, he wins re-election, and we’ll all be facing the nightmare of a second Trump administration.

In other words, the work DFLers do over the next five months will decide the future of our state and country for generations to come. I know it’s a lot of pressure. But I have to be upfront with you about what we’re up against this year.

Despite racking up almost 90 felony charges (and already convicted on 34 of them), threatening a “bloodbath” if he loses, and pledging to pardon January 6 insurrectionists, Trump and his MAGA Republican allies have never been in a better position to flip Minnesota red.

Six straight polls have shown Donald Trump and President Biden in a statistical dead-heat in Minnesota. And just this week, a seventh poll from the Star Tribune confirms Trump voters are twice as “enthusiastic” heading into November’s election.

In the meantime, we fell behind our budget targets last month while Trump’s fundraising was surging. And according to the report I just ran, we still need to raise $11,281 by midnight tomorrow to get back on track.
