Lets look at the numbers:
We have 2.5 million small businesses here in Florida, which employ more than 42% of our private sector workforce.
About 38,000 of those small businesses applied for Emergency Bridge Loans when they were made available last month.
Yesterday, the program stopped taking applications after awarding loans to only 1,000 businesses.
That's less than 3% of those that applied and only .04% of the businesses in Florida!

Governor Desantis has the ability to dedicate more emergency funds toward programs that Florida businesses and their employees desperately need. This CANNOT wait. He has been insisting that the 37,000 business owners who didn't get these loans should wait for federal assistance.
I've been waiting for 2.5 weeks for the advance on the first loan that was promised to come in 3 days... I have no faith in this administration doing anything they say, let alone doing it on time.
COVID-19 has quickly spread and impacted every aspect of our lives. Our response must be just as rapid and thorough. The small businesses, like mine, that make up the backbone of this economy can't be put on the back burner.
