John,
World Refugee Day — an internationally recognized day to honor refugees around the globe — is just one week away. I wanted to take this opportunity to recognize the struggles and triumphs of refugees and the work Unto staff is doing to help relieve suffering around the world.
Refugees are often resilient and courageous. They have been forced to flee their homeland due to persecution or conflict. But many lack the basic necessities needed to survive as they journey to a place with stability.
Often our staff find themselves serving in areas with large numbers of displaced people. With generous gifts from donors like you, staff can provide refugees with food, water, hygiene items, tarps for shelter and more.
By the end of 2024, more than 130 million people will be forcibly displaced from their homes. This is the highest number of displaced people ever recorded. War, persecution and human rights violations are the primary factors driving the refugee crisis.
But staff continue — despite the difficult circumstances — to relieve suffering, restore dignity and reveal hope for refugees around the globe.
You are helping make this possible. Thank you!
Your generous gifts and fervent prayers are helping Unto staff continue serving refugees.
In preparation for World Refugee Day — only one week away — will you pray with me? Pray for our staff. Pray for those serving refugees. And pray for refugees all over the globe.
Praying with you,
Al Goff, President and CEO | Unto
P.S. Thanks to a generous partner, gifts to support Refugee Hope Kits are DOUBLED, up to $5,000, through World Refugee Day, June 20. If you’d like to make a gift today, click here or click the button below.
