Snap Election Emergency Appeal Update
Donate

Dear  SPUC supporter,

On Monday we launched our emergency appeal in response to the snap general election announced by Rishi Sunak. We have so far raised £7,456 which is amazing, but we are still a long way from our target of £60,000.

We know that our opponents will be spending hundreds of thousands of pounds to promote their anti-life, WOKE agendas. We are now seeing censorship and pro-death policies in party manifestoes, with commitments to enforce buffer zones and promote assisted suicide.

It is vitally important that we use our votes wisely, questioning our potential representatives on where they stand on life issues, regardless of which party they belong to. To help with this, our amazing new MP Contact Tool allows you to email your local candidates with just a few clicks, asking them vital pro-life questions. There is also information on the number of abortions taking place in your area.

Campaigns like this are expensive, and for the first time in SPUC’s history we have registered as a Third-Party Lobbyist as we will spend over the £20,000 threshold. Registration also gives us greater freedom to promote our cause. It is a brave decision, but we believe a necessary one.

I know there are many good causes out there, beyond ours, but perhaps the difference is that other charities can call on huge swathes of the population for support. In truth, we rely on a small but committed group of supporters – it was just such a small but dedicated group of activists who, at the beginning of the abolition of slavery proposed that slaves were humans, equal to all others in the eyes of God.

Please dig deep to keep the voice of the most vulnerable alive at this crucial time.

Thank You.
