John,

NYGOP Chair Ed Cox has called out Joe Biden’s recent executive order on immigration for what it truly is: an insincere election-year stunt designed to fail.

This order, invoking a Trump-era immigration action, was already successfully challenged in court by the ACLU, which has promised further legal action against the Biden Administration.

If President Biden were serious about addressing the immigration crisis, he would reinstate President Trump’s successful and legal "Remain in Mexico" policy. Instead, he has chosen a path that does nothing to curb the flood of illegal migrants at our southern border. This move is not just ineffective—it’s a charade that New York’s Kathy Hochul should be embarrassed to support.

As Congressman Mike Lawler rightly put it, this is "election-year politics, plain and simple."

We need leaders who are committed to real solutions, not political theater. It’s time to take a stand.
