*Governor Gordon Appoints Mike McGrady to be a District Court Judge for the Sixth Judicial District *

CHEYENNE, Wyo. – Governor Mark Gordon has appointed Mike McGrady to be a District Court Judge for the Sixth Judicial District serving Campbell, Cook and Weston Counties. McGrady’s appointment fills a vacancy created by the addition of a fourth District Court Judge, which was authorized and funded by the 2024 legislature and signed into law by the Governor on March 15.

Since 2022, McGrady has been Vice President of Human Resources & Environmental, Health and Safety for Sisecam Wyoming, LLC in Green River after previously working as Vice President of Regulatory and Legal Affairs for Ciner Resources in Green River. McGrady also served as Deputy Attorney General in the Torts Division of the Wyoming Attorney General’s Office, as well as Natural Resources Section Supervisor and Senior Assistant Attorney General. From 2016-2018 he served as Senior Policy Advisor and State Planning Officer for Wyoming Governor Matt Mead. McGrady earned his Bachelor’s and Juris Doctorate degrees from the University of Wyoming

“This was a particularly difficult choice with three exceptionally qualified candidates,” Governor Gordon said. “Mike is an accomplished attorney who has demonstrated excellent analytical skills and a strong legal mind. These qualities make him well-prepared to serve as a District Court judge,” Governor Gordon said.

“I want to thank the Governor for his confidence and support in this appointment,” McGrady said. “I look forward to serving the public in the Sixth Judicial District and moving my wife and kids closer to my wife’s family in Gillette.”

The appointment is effective July 18, 2024.
