Ben’s finance director here! I’m reaching out because with everything changing in our world and on our campaign, I wanted to give you an update on where we stand for the month:

Our team has been in the process of building up our online campaign budget, expanding our digital advertising, and adding virtual phone banks and a texting program so we can keep doing this important work in our new reality. But last week, we had to add a new line item earlier than expected -- TV ads -- when a DC-based super PAC spent hundreds of thousands of dollars to buy up TV ads around our district attacking Ben.

Over 100 of our grassroots supporters have stepped up in the past week to help us respond to this massive shift in our race -- thank you!! But we still need to raise another $5,000 before tomorrow night to meet our mid-month goal that will allow us to move up our timeline and buy TV ads of our own.

So, can you chip in anything -- even a few dollars -- to help get us the rest of the way there?

I know Ben has emailed you about what this means to our race, but I’ll say it again because it’s so important: How we respond determines the first message voters are going to hear on TV about the choice they have to make in November.
