Friend,

On Thursday April 16th at 3:00 PM ET, we'll hear from Problem Solvers Caucus Member Representative John Katko (R-NY24) to discuss his idea to establish a National Commission on COVID-19 to avoid a similar crisis from ever paralyzing our nation again.

Earlier this month Representative Katko was joined by Democrat Stephanie Murphy (D-FL07) to introduce the “National Commission of COVID-19 Act”.  The bill, modeled on the law that established the 9/11 Commission, would examine how COVID-19 spread in the United States and evaluate the nation’s preparedness and response to the pandemic. The Commission would be asked to make recommendations about testing, vaccines, personal protective equipment for health workers, and the capacity of the U.S. healthcare system.

Thursday’s Member Briefing is part of No Labels response to the COVID-19 crisis and our continuing commitment to unify our nation around the politics of problem solving – not protest. We host daily Member Briefings that connect our community directly with national leaders in health care, the economy, and 21st century democracy.

Hope you can join us,

Liz Morrison
Vice President
