In accordance with W.S. 9-23-104, the Wyoming Department of Environmental Quality, Solid & Hazardous Waste Division, Landfill Remediation Program (LRP), hereby provides notice that it will initiate professional services consultant selection for the Evanston #1 Landfill Remediation Phase 2 Project, located in Uinta County, Wyoming. The project will involve remedy design, construction oversight, operation and maintenance of the remedy, and environmental monitoring of the remedy. The LRP will send out a request for statements of interest on approximately July 10, 2024, to all firms on the LRP list of prequalified consultants. Only prequalified consultants will be allowed to submit statements of interest. Selection procedures will be in accordance with W.S. 9-23-101 through 9-23-107 and State Construction Rules.
Prequalification for professional engineering services is ongoing for this and other future LRP projects. LRP projects address contamination caused by landfills. In general, services for LRP projects involve investigation of sites, design of remedial alternatives, construction management, operation and maintenance, and monitoring. On-site personnel must have 40-hour HAZWOPER training with current 8-hour refresher course. Minimum insurance includes $1 million errors & omissions and $2 million general liability. To be considered for prequalification, a firm must submit a Statement of Qualifications (SOQ). The submittal package and instructions can be found at https://deq.wyoming.gov/shwd/landfill-remediation-program/. SOQs can be submitted at any time for inclusion on the prequalified list but must be submitted by July 2, 2024, in order to be considered for the Evanston #1 Landfill Remediation Phase 2 Project.
