John,

As the 2024 fiscal year comes to a close, we’ve been reflecting on what an amazing 12 months we’ve had as an organization.

Over the last year, we worked with partners to help secure the exonerations of six wrongfully convicted people, we fought to pass 15 policies that will help make our criminal legal system more just and equitable, and more than 84,000 advocates from this community stepped up to take action.

It’s truly been a spectacular year, and we want to keep that momentum going into fiscal year 2025. Will you please make a donation before the deadline at the end of this month to help us reach our goal of 1,000 donors?

When we first started the Innocence Project clinic at the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law more than 30 years ago, we never dreamt it would become what it is today — and it’s all because of the incredible staff who work so hard every day and the amazing community members like you who show their support day in and day out.

Fighting to change a system that is rife with racial biases, inequities, and injustice isn’t easy, but every day, we’re getting closer to building a more fair, compassionate, and equitable criminal legal system for everyone.

We’ve accomplished so much together over the past 12 months, but we want to be even more ambitious in the next 12. Will you help us get there by making a donation before the end-of-month deadline?

Thank you so much for your support,

The Innocence Project works to free the innocent, prevent wrongful convictions, and create fair, compassionate, and equitable systems of justice for everyone. Founded in 1992 by Barry C. Scheck and Peter J. Neufeld at the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law at Yeshiva University, the organization is now an independent nonprofit. Our work is guided by science and grounded in anti-racism.
