While Netanyahu’s regime kills tens of thousands of Palestinians and launches attacks with a complete disregard for the people of Gaza, Democratic leaders Chuck Schumer and Hakeem Jeffries invited Netanyahu to speak in front of Congress. The Israeli military recently killed 274 Palestinians during a raid in Gaza — a shocking death toll.
Netanyahu is obstructing all efforts to broker a Ceasefire. His actions show he would rather continue waging war to kill Palestinians in order to free hostages rather than negotiate a diplomatic peace deal that would save lives, free hostages, and end this horrific war.

Why did the Democratic leaders in the House and Senate invite Netanyahu to speak? Why are Democrats like President Biden still actively supporting Netanyahu with a platform in the United States and billions of dollars of funding and bombs? We should NEVER have to ask these questions, but our government continues to hold the morally bankrupt position of supporting Netanyahu’s atrocities in Gaza with funding, bombs, and Congressional invites.
Schumer and Jeffries have given legitimacy to Netanyahu’s regime AND handed the right-wing liars in Congress major political points. GOP Speaker Mike Johnson has been saying Bernie is “siding with terrorists” by not attending this speech. The politics around this speech are disgusting, and Democratic leadership rubber-stamped all of it with their lack of courage.
Schumer and Jeffries never should have signed their names alongside Johnson and Mitch McConnell. It’s a gift to the GOP and the head of the regime killing so many people in Gaza.
