We've been told since President Clinton's campaign that "It's the economy, stupid!"

Even now, polling shows that the economy is the #1 issue for voters. So, my campaign is going to be straight with the American people — our economy is in overdrive, and to not highlight this fact is to give into the GOP messaging that we are in some kind of dystopian world.   

We need to tell people:

1) GDP growth in the U.S. since 2019 is over 8% (three times faster than the European Union) 

2) Prices have risen by 20% since the pandemic but U.S. workers' hourly wages have increased 26%. (Workers in virtually every other developed country saw this purchasing power decrease.)

3) Since 2019, the lowest-paid workers in the U.S. have seen the largest increase in wages, and this has erased a third of the rise in wage inequality between the poorest and richest workers over the last 40 years.

4) Wage inequality between Blacks and white Americans is at its lowest level since 1980.

5) The unemployment rate has been at 4% or less for 2 years, the longest stretch since the 1960s (under President Reagan it was at 7%)

6) The net worth of the median household in the U.S. increased by 37% over the past 3 years — a faster rate than at any time since 1989, when we began keeping records of this indicator.

7) On a monthly basis, the May inflation rate was at 0%.

I'm asking for your help to make sure the brainwashing of our fellow citizens by the MAGA GOP ends, and that we are courageous enough tell the truth about the economy. Feelings matter but facts are an incredible anecdote for misinformation.
