Y'all, this pandemic has underscored just how desperately we need a Senator who will look out for ALL Texans. Sen. Cornyn has done everything he can to try to get rid of the Affordable Care Act, the bedrock of health care protections for millions of vulnerable Texans.

HE doesn’t have to deal with the fallout -- he’s been in political office for 36 years straight, and he doesn’t have to worry about being turned away for having a pre-existing condition. I was shot down in Afghanistan, and then needed two blood transfusions during childbirth, so I know how important it is that people are able to see a doctor and get the care they need -- without worrying about breaking the bank. Before we had the Affordable Care Act, it was legal for insurance companies to charge women more than men for the exact same insurance. Sen. Cornyn doesn’t mind going back to a time before we had the ACA -- he doesn’t have to deal with the fallout.

I decided to get in this race because Sen. Cornyn doesn’t get it.
