Welcome to our weekly Bowman Newsletter, for shout-outs, updates, and future events. As valued members of #TeamBowman, your dedication, and hard work are driving our campaign toward victory. Here's what's been happening and what's coming up:


The clock is ticking… Early voting is coming THIS weekend (June 15th - 23rd) and the primary is in 13 days. Pressure is building, and we’re going up against a lot, but organized people beat organized money every time, so if we keep this momentum up, we will win.


No matter how much experience you have, we need you. If you've never canvassed or phone banked before, if you know people who can volunteer, but haven't asked yet, the time is now! They may have money, but we have people and passion.


TOP PRIORITY: We need our volunteers at every event and poll site this weekend to make sure people turn out to vote. Pleasesign up for Early voting visibility. ([link removed]) We need people in every corner of the district, so join us where you can, when you can. Sign up for as many shifts as possible and bring anyone and everyone, we need all hands on deck! We have a lot of exciting events coming up:
* We're hosting an interfaith dinner for our closest supporters on Friday, June 14th in Hastings. Please sign up here ([link removed]) to attend!
* Ball with Jamaal: Saturday, 10 am - 8 pm. Join Congressman Jamaal Bowman Saturday for pickup basketball, lunch, icees, and early voting in Lincoln Park! Sign up here. ([link removed])
* Port Chester Community BBQ & Early Voting Bash "Vota y Disfruta": Saturday, 11.30 - 4pm. Join us for a community barbecue in Port Chester as we enjoy great food, discuss issues we would like our Congressman to know, listen to music, play games, and get a free ride to our Early Voting location. * Souls to the Polls: On Sunday, 1 pm - 3 pm, In collaboration with churches in the district, we will be transporting people to polling sites after services. Sign up here. ([link removed])

Join our task forces!
* Street team: Our street team canvasses at community events, train stations, and supermarkets, and posters small businesses throughout the district. * Black Men Vote Task force: Following the discovery that only 10% of Black Men came out to vote in the 2022 Democratic Primary, Congressman Bowman launched a Black Male Voters Task Force to encourage civic participation and create a sense of community by identifying issues that predominantly impact Black Men. Members of the Task Force will be able to participate in quarterly meetings with Congressman Bowman and directly share issues that impact them without having to navigate through the layers of government that originally discouraged their participation in democratic primaries. * Latino Voter Task force: Members of Westchester County's Latino Community have historically felt disenfranchised and underrepresented in elected offices with only 1 Latino serving on the Westchester County Board of Legislators out of 17 seats and copies of the Westchester County Budget not being available in the Spanish language. Following the release of the 2020 census data showing that Westchester County is now 26% Latino, a more concerted effort must be made to build the political power of Latinos and create an agenda that could resonate with other congressional districts with a strong Latino population. Members of the Latino Voters Task Force will help encourage civic participation, help identify issues that should be addressed to enhance the overall quality of life, and participate in quarterly meetings with Congressman Bowman through a forum of linguistic equity. * The Youth Task force: a coalition of engaged volunteers ages 14-25 who are focused on increasing civic engagement by registering young people to vote, raising awareness through social media and hosting events that support the congressman. We host biweekly phone banks, recruitment calls, and we lead canvasses with our fellow youth. Joining us would build our army and show the youth’s perseverance for Bowman🙏Sign up here ([link removed]) .
