Hi John, Sarah again, here with an update on our Frontline Defenders Fund.

Yesterday, I reached out to let you know about the launch of our Frontline Defenders Fund -- a fundraising opportunity dedicated to supporting Democratic pro-choice women running for state and local office. Today, I'm reaching out to give you more information on four key swing states -- Arizona, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, and Michigan -- where women we've endorsed are on the frontlines of the fight for abortion access.

Can Democratic pro-choice candidates count on your support in majority-defining state legislature races this cycle, John? Donate toward our Frontline Defenders Fund now >>

Here's what you need to know about Arizona, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, and Michigan:

- In Arizona, Democrats currently hold a "triplex" -- the governor, secretary of state, and attorney general seats. However, the state legislature itself is entirely under anti-choice Republicans' control. The good news? We only need to flip four seats total to flip both chambers -- and we've endorsed 13 women who can make it happen.

- Wisconsin's state Assembly is a slightly larger task. Democrats need to protect their current numbers in the Assembly and flip 15 seats to win control of the chamber. We've endorsed four incumbents leading the charge, and will be announcing a slate of challengers soon to take on open and flip opportunities with newly-drawn fair maps!

- Pennsylvania's state House is riding a razor-thin majority that Democrats can't afford to lose. As of this month, Democrats hold a single-seat majority and Republicans are counting on an easy pickup this November. What they're not ready for are the seven incumbents and challengers that EMILYs List has endorsed to fight back.

- In Michigan, Democrats' two-seat margin in the state House is just as high-risk. To maintain control of the chamber this November, Democrats will need to hold every blue seat. Fortunately the 16 Democratic pro-choice candidates we've endorsed are up to the task.

Our ability to win in these swing states will determine our ability to protect abortion access for millions of Americans, John. It's just a few seats on paper, but the stakes are incredibly high -- it's as simple as that.
