Dear ASBN Community,
This week, the American Sustainable Business Network (ASBN) is urging Congress to prioritize regenerative agriculture in the upcoming Farm Bill, and we need your voice and support!
Take action for regenerative agriculture today! ([link removed])
The Farm Bill is a critical piece of legislation impacting what gets grown in the U.S. and how. With the Farm Bill, Congress has an unprecedented opportunity to support the transition to regenerative agriculture, a method that small businesses, ranchers and farmers are hailing as a win for all.
What’s so great about it?
Regenerative agriculture is good for the environment, lowers producers’ costs, improves the quality of foods and agricultural ingredients grown, and safeguards workers’ and consumers’ health from toxic chemicals linked to adult and childhood cancers, like pesticides.
Need more convincing? Here's why regenerative agriculture is a win-win:
* Resilient Farms: It builds healthier soil, increasing yields and lowering costs in the long run, making farms more resilient to extreme weather.
* Happy Consumers: People are willing to pay more for healthier foods and products produced sustainably! Businesses can meet this growing demand by supporting regenerative practices.
* Healthier Planet: Regenerative agriculture helps fight climate change and protects our precious natural resources and sensitive ecosystems for all to enjoy.
How can you help?
The Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) provided a historic investment in climate-smart agriculture, but protecting the "climate guardrails" is essential to make it work!
Take action today! ([link removed])
