The Senate race I’m spotlighting today: Maryland.
Last month, Angela Alsobrooks won a tough primary. Now, she’s heading into the general election for Maryland’s open Senate seat, and her Republican challenger is both an ex-governor and a Mitch McConnell recruit.
NPR says this race is the GOP’s “best chance to win a Senate seat in Maryland since 1980,” and The New York Times says the outcome could decide control of the Senate.
In other words: This is a must-win race. Angela needs our strongest support so she comes out on top this November.
If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately and split between Angela Alsobrooks and Brian Schatz:
Angela is Prince George’s County Executive, and before that, she was the county’s State’s Attorney and a domestic violence prosecutor. She’s committed to safeguarding access to birth control and other forms of reproductive care; protecting access to affordable health care; and taking the kind of big, bold climate action our planet needs.
Angela is the right person for the job, but Maryland is going to be a close, competitive battleground this year. Polls show Angela leading her opponent but only by a single-digit margin.
I’m all in for Angela, and I hope you will be, too. If you are, split a contribution between her campaign and mine today.
Mahalo,
Brian
