Patriot,
I need your help - RIGHT NOW!
The U.S. House of Representatives is scrambling to finish the
National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) this week, and debate
on hundreds of amendments is due to begin in just a couple of
hours.
Amendment 48, which repeals the provision allowing for the
indefinite detention of American citizens without due process, is
one of the amendments on the agenda.
Amendment 48 would terminate the flagrantly unconstitutional and
dangerous provision that allows the president to throw people he
deems "enemies of the state" into prison without ever being
charged with a crime.
No president should ever have that power!
Since it's possible it could be debated and voted on in the next
few hours, please call your U.S. Representative at (202) 224-3121
right away.
Even if you don't see this email until later this afternoon, it's
still worth the moment to call and leave a message, to voice your
support for restoring the fundamental legal rights of Americans.
Here is a simple script you can use when calling your
Representative:
Hello, this is [your name] from [your city and state]. I'm
calling to tell you to support Amendment number 48 to the
National Defense Authorization Act to eliminate the provision
that allows for indefinite detention of American citizens without
due process.
Please advise the representative of my comments. Thank you.
Your calls and petitions made a huge difference in changes to the
NDAA last year. Not only were we able to get this amendment
through the House, but we were able to prevent provisions to
restrict free speech - the RESTRICT Act - from being slipped in.
We need to keep up the pressure. It passed the House last year
but was removed in conference committee later in the process.
That means we should have the votes to pass it in the House again
- and keep pushing it through the Senate.
Call your representative RIGHT NOW at (202) 224-3121.
The votes could come at any time, so don't hesitate.
And if possible, after you've contacted your representative,
please follow up with a contribution to Campaign for Liberty -
your support makes it possible for C4L to increase the pressure
by bringing this message to more patriots like you.

Identifying and reaching out to bring in new members and
supporters isn't free. Neither is mobilizing and delivering your
petitions to the Capitol.
But the more resources we have, the more we can do, so if
possible, after contacting your senators, follow up by chipping
in a contribution to help us win this battle for good!
Thanks for all you do for Liberty,
John McCardell
Executive Director
Campaign for Liberty
P.S. Thanks to your support, we've made it farther than we ever
have to restore a fundamental constitutional right of Americans.
Amendment 48 to the 2025 NDAA - which will stop the indefinite
detention of American citizens - will be debated today. Let's do
everything we can to see this through in the National Defense
Authorization Act this year.
Tell your representative to support a ban on indefinite detention
of Americans.
Congress is anxious to get out of Washington, D.C., but you and I
can't let them RAM through legislation that decimates our rights
and liberties.
Call your representative now at (202) 224-3121, and then, please
consider chipping in a donation of $10, $25, $50, or more to help
us keep the pressure on Congress to restore the Constitution!
