Child tax credits, affordable daycare, and universal pre-k can help parents enter and stay in the workforce, keeping food and housing in sustainable family budgets and our economy moving in the right direction.

More people went to work this morning than every before in this nation's history. But rural Michigan needs a Democratic champion, and across our district, we have work to do. We have initiatives to lead. It all starts with investments in education.

As high school graduates plan for the fall, it's a good reminder that not everyone needs a four-year degree to thrive.

I earned my associate's at a community college, a stepping stone for some and a perfectly adequate path to many successful professions.

In Congress, I will fight to make two years of post-secondary education tuition-free.

Each dollar spent on post-secondary education yields a $7 return. Offering two years of tuition-free community college or vocational training is one of the most profitable investments America can make in its future.
