Friend,
This coronavirus pandemic has caused a public health crisis and an economic disaster. Without urgent, immediate action, everyone, particularly the most vulnerable, will suffer the consequences.
Congress passed an emergency relief bill last month, but it is clearly not enough. Our elected leaders must immediately pass a bold and comprehensive relief bill.
We will all be better and healthier if everyone is able to get access to free testing and health care coverage for COVID-19. We will all see a healthier economic recovery if we have bold, inclusive, and immediate relief for everyone. We will all be better off if we take action now to get relief to everyone from debt collections, immigration enforcement, rent and mortgages, and more.
We’ll be honest — we keep hearing from members of Congress that despite the crisis, they aren’t hearing enough from people. That’s where you come in: will you write to your elected officials today and demand that they act?
Send an email to Congress now and urge them to #FighttheVirus by passing an urgent comprehensive relief bill that includes stimulus payments for those who are losing their jobs and businesses.

Public health experts, economists, and civil rights and business leaders agree that we need an immediate economic stimulus plan and an unprecedented investment in our public health, including:
Ensuring that every single person in the U.S. has access to free coronavirus tests and related health care coverage they need at no cost, including vulnerable populations such as undocumented immigrants and people who are incarcerated.
Cash payments to every American every month until this crisis is over to cover the job and wage losses caused by this health emergency.
Zero-interest loan assistance and tax relief so that small businesses can keep afloat and not fire their workforce.
Emergency funds to cover child and medical care.
A freeze on rent, mortgages, debt collection, and immigration enforcement.
Automatically renewing immigration work authorizations and benefits set to expire in the next year.
In addition to these comprehensive measures, Congress must act immediately to protect vulnerable communities by getting people out of jails, prisons, and immigration detention and ensuring everyone at the frontlines of this crisis has the proper protective gear and is being paid fairly for their hazardous work.
Unless we write and demand they take these urgent actions, we risk making this public health emergency and economic disaster worse for us all.
Write to your elected officials now to stand up for immediate, comprehensive action to alleviate the worst effects of the coronavirus crisis.

During this crisis, we are all at risk — but we know our most vulnerable populations will be disproportionately harmed. We need to speak out now. Comprehensive, immediate action is the only way to effectively #fightthevirus.
Thank you for taking action today,
Todd Schulte
