Joey Chestnut, America's (former) greatest living athlete, sells out with vegan hotdogs, gets banned from July 4th eating contest

You might as well cancel the Fourth of July. Joey Chestnut, who until yesterday was America's greatest living athlete (I guess it's Caitlyn Clark now), will NOT be competing in Nathans's annual hotdog eating contest. The 16-time world champion—that's more than Michael Jordan and Tom Brady combined—has been banned from competing after he signed with a VEGAN "meat" brand.

Proving the old adage that you either die a hero, or live long enough to see yourself become a villain.
