Our photos/posts are training Instagram’s AI machines

Meta is using our photos and posts to train its AI – whether we like it or not.

Tech companies are exploiting us while they rake in huge profits, but we're fighting back.

Join the global call on tech companies to stop this abusive practice and we'll deliver our message in key US media.

John,

Meta is using our photos and posts to train its AI – whether we like it or not.

EU users can opt-out through a convoluted process, but the rest of us are stuck having to accept the terms or else leave Facebook, Instagram and all of Meta’s apps.

And it’s not just Meta – our Slack messages and Zoom transcripts are also being harvested for training!

Join the global call on all tech companies to stop using our private data to train their AI – when enough join we’ll take out a full-page ad in leading US media and force execs to hear our call:

Tell tech companies: stop using our data to train AI models

Tech companies operate like it’s the Wild West, and they are making huge profits from OUR data. Our photos, our videos, our posts – things we think only a small group of friends are seeing, are all feeding Big Tech’s AI machines.

We are being exploited by the tech industry, but we’re not powerless. When Meta announced it will be forcing Whatsapp users to accept new privacy terms that will allow it to harvest data from WhatsApp, our community launched a petition and legal action in Brazil -- one of its largest markets -- and we effectively stopped Meta from forcing all users to accept its new terms, not just in Brazil.

We can keep being the thorn in Big Tech’s side - but we need everyone’s help to make it happen. Add your name to the petition and share this widely:

Tech companies: stop using our data to train AI models
