The attacks against abortion rights just won’t stop coming.
The Washington Post just reported that a conservative think tank, the Heritage Foundation, is lobbying former President Trump for a federal law that would prevent healthcare coverage for women who have crossed state lines to receive an abortion.
This proposed change wouldn’t just make it vastly more difficult for women to find safe, legal abortions; it would make it next to impossible. In 2023, more than 170,000 patients traveled to another state to seek abortions. All because Roe was overturned.
While abortions happen for various reasons, any choice made should always remain between a woman and her doctor. PERIOD. If you agree, chip in $5, or whatever you can, to ensure Kim, a pro-choice woman doctor, has the resources to defend WA-08 and flip the House back to blue.
As a doctor and member of Congress, Kim has and will always work to ensure women have access to safe reproductive healthcare. She is determined to ensure we don’t become a country that limits healthcare access to our citizens.
john, while it’s only been two years since Roe was repealed, its effects have been dramatic and life-changing for those it has affected. We can’t afford to give another inch to conservative extremists.
