At a rally in Nevada, Trump finally responded to the reports that he insulted the fallen when he canceled an appearance at an American war cemetery in France.

He said you’d have to be a psycho to call Americans who fell in battle “suckers” and “losers,” and we agree.

But that comment is quite odd, given that he called Americans who fell in battle “suckers” and “losers.” His own former Chief of Staff confirmed it. Personally.

Remember:

Trump attacked John McCain and every Prisoner of War — “I like people who weren’t captured” — and called him a loser after he had passed away.
He said, “It doesn’t look good for me,” and refused to be seen with wounded warriors.
He’s gone after Gold Star family members, who lost their loved ones in war, for opposing him.
He callously told one grieving wife that her husband “knew what he was getting into.”
There is a clear, repeated pattern of Trump going after Troops, Veterans and their families.

But of all the despicable things Trump has done, his insults and degradations against the wounded and fallen men and women who fought for our country are among the worst.

But what’s clear is this — he knows this hurts him. He might weasel out of jail time for his felonies, or delay his court cases thanks to judges he appointed. But the American people are learning what Trump said about our wounded and fallen warriors, and they do not like what they are hearing.

We have to make sure they keep hearing it, and that’s exactly what VoteVets is going to do.
