John,

When I’m out on the campaign trail, there’s one question that comes up a lot…

“Will, politics is exhausting… why would you want to serve in Congress?!”

It’s a fair question, and to be frank with you, I’ve asked myself this a thousand times, too.

But here’s the truth: I've always had a deep sense of duty to serve our country because of the values my family instilled in me. My grandparents both served our country proudly, then opened a business selling parts for U.S. fighter jets.

After 9/11, I knew I wanted to work in counterterrorism. That led me to the National Security Division of the U.S. Attorney’s Office where I served as a prosecutor. There, I saw that some of the biggest threats we face are right here at home.

I was handling domestic terrorism cases, many that involved right-wing extremists, including Jan. 6 insurrectionists, who were motivated to do our country harm in the name of a political agenda.

We all remember watching January 6th unfold, asking ourselves if this would be the moment that the majority of the Republicans in Congress finally changed course after Trump and put the country first.

That never happened. In fact, the rank and file Congressional Republicans became more extreme and more beholden to Donald Trump. And it’s because of enablers like my opponent Ken Calvert who is willing to do and say whatever it takes to hold power -- even if it means undermining democracy and putting lives at risk.

I'm in this race because too much is at stake to sit on the sidelines -- especially with Trump back on his way to a nomination at the GOP convention and control of the House and Senate on the line.

I know we can flip this seat and restore decency to Congress. We came so close in 2022, and we can finish this job this year. But I can’t do this alone:

Our FEC end-of-quarter fundraising deadline is just under three weeks away and your support would help us meet this moment. Can you please send in $3, or whatever you can afford, to help us flip CA-41 and finish the job against Ken Calvert?
