Biden is taking a stealth approach to attack your right to keep and bear arms. He has fixed his sights on firearm manufacturers with his new proposal to smother American gun companies with layers of bureaucratic red tape – all while preventing civilians in other countries from purchasing American firearms and ammunition.

If you think this executive rule doesn’t affect you – think again…. This action is another example of Joe Biden stripping away one of the key components of the second amendment. Your ability to buy guns could easily be at stake if this executive rule to cripple American firearm companies goes unnoticed.

Biden’s Department of Commerce’s Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) is pulling out the red tape to tie up American firearm manufacturers by preventing them from selling firearms to civilians in 36 other countries.

They also are trying to burden firearm companies by forcing them to adopt new export control classification numbers (ECCNs) as an additional way of tracking American firearms abroad. This measure is completely unnecessary given that firearms are already marked with serial numbers that can be recorded and traced.

All of these restrictions and compliance costs are estimated to result in about a 7% reduction - or $40 million - of the current $600 million in U.S. firearm exports per year. Essentially hamstringing firearm manufacturers, which could eventually reduce your access to firearms and ammunition.

The American people have no appetite for this overreach.
