The Skagit Board of County Commissioners will hold a public hearing regarding a resolution reauthorizing the Clean Water (Shellfish Protection) District established in Skagit County Code 6.68 on Tuesday, June 25th, at 8:45 a.m. in the Commissioner’s Hearing Room located at 1800 Continental Place in Mount Vernon. The public hearing provides an opportunity for citizens to provide comment on the proposed reauthorization. Citizens can also join the meeting and provide comment via Zoom at the link on the Commissioner’s webpage below.

The Skagit County Shellfish Protection District (Clean Water Program) annual rates and charges were last established in Resolution #R20150375 were reauthorized by Resolution #R20190092, for an additional five (5) years, until December 31, 2024. The proposed resolution would reauthorize the district effective January 1, 2025, and remove the specified sunset or expiration date.
