Hola, boa tarde, hello from Amazon Watch! I'm excited to share this special video of updates from the front lines of the Amazon rainforest. Watch to learn how you've helped us resist rainforest destruction and amplify Indigenous peoples' rights and solutions for the Amazon.
This is the most critical moment we've ever seen for the rainforest and our Earth. We all know we’re facing a tipping point.
But what the major forces behind rainforest destruction don't want us to know is that we still have time to move to a turning point. Because of Indigenous peoples' stewardship, healthy rainforests remain. We work to protect them today so that these forests – and our climate – can continue to thrive in the future.
Watch this special video to see how we are moving toward this future. For more than 28 years, Amazon Watch has worked in close partnership with Indigenous peoples to expel extractive industries from key rainforest regions, advance Indigenous women's leadership, build global coalitions to protect Indigenous rights and the rights of nature, and more.
From all of us at Amazon Watch, thank you for making our work possible. Here's to a healthy rainforest, climate justice, and a thriving future for our planet!
For the Amazon,
Leila Salazar-López
