This week marks 61 years since President John F. Kennedy signed the Equal Pay Act of 1963 into law.

While this landmark law was a huge step forward in ending gender-based wage discrimination, the fight continues today.

Throughout my time in the Senate, I have been proud to cosponsor and pass legislation to strengthen federal pay equity laws, close loopholes, empower women to negotiate for equal pay, and more.
